Land Records

The Land Records Division is responsible for maintaining the county cadastral map, which is a spatial representation of real property information found in the public record, for the purpose of taxation. We strive to keep our records as accurate and up-to-date as possible. However, our maps and owner information are prepared for specific governmental purposes, and are not a substitute for surveys and titles performed by licensed professionals.

You may view the cadastral map on our Property Map Viewer: https://gis.jacksonnc.org/rpv/ which contains a wealth of information:

  • In addition to accessing parcel ownership, you can
o view voter information, flood maps, zoning maps, municipal boundaries, fire insurance districts, contours, and much more.
o view and/or print a parcel report and a property record card for current ownership, deed information, and property specs
o query and download parcel information for sales comparable and ownership lists
o view current and historic aerial photography of the county
o measure areas on the ground using the aerial photography
o download directions between two addresses within the county
  • Dataset downloads are available. Please visit https://www.nconemap.gov/ for additional statewide data downloads.

Please see the pdf instructions on the viewer for tutorials on using the site and its utilities. There are also instructions below to assist with collecting 2025 reappraisal information.
